Mothers Bar & Grill
About This Spot
Stepping into Mothers Bar & Grill feels like slipping into a cherished neighborhood spot where familiar faces meet good food and easy conversation. Tucked away off Buckeye Road, this unpretentious bar and grill hums with a steady, welcoming energy that’s neither rushed nor overly loud—just a comfortable backdrop for catching up with friends or easing into a quiet evening.
The atmosphere is warmly grounded in everyday simplicity, offering a kind of refuge without pretense. You’ll find the staff striking that perfect balance of friendly and laid-back, the kind of team you can share a laugh with or seek a recommendation from without hesitation. The vibe draws locals in for a bite but also encourages them to linger over a cold beer or carefully mixed drink, where details like small pitchers for refills subtly speak to the thoughtful spirit behind the scenes.
Food here is a satisfying anchor to the experience. Burgers, particularly hearty creations like the Moose—with its generous patties and comforting layers of mushrooms and melted cheese—invite relaxed, unhurried enjoyment. The crispness of onion rings or fries complements the warmth seeping from the grill, while wings coated in house sauces add just the right kick. Comfort doesn’t come from bells and whistles but from well-executed flavors and the feeling that each plate is made with care, ready to be shared or savored solo alongside a well-poured pint.
Beyond the food, Mothers Bar & Grill carries the quiet marks of community—a dollar bill on the wall, a bartender sharing a smile, and a window into local life. It’s the kind of place where stories are swapped over classic cocktails like a Long Island Iced Tea or a whimsically named Fireball Cheesecake shot, and where a casual lunch or a midweek stop turns into a small moment of belonging.
Ultimately, Mothers Bar & Grill is less about standing out and more about settling in. It’s a spot that feels lived in and genuine, a warm corner where the neighborhood’s everyday rhythms play out with a good plate of food and someone to share it with.

Great little hole in the wall bar. Had the Moose burger (Double with everything) pitcher of Kilt Lifter and a glass of local IPA. Superb place to go and chat with friends and have a bite to eat. Definitely recommend!

Came in for the lunch hour and the staff is Outstanding! The ladies are very sweet and funny. The wings are to die for, especially the house sauce they offer. A little bar tucked away off of buckeye Rd that me and my husband will definitely be returning too. We felt so bad not leaving a cash tip only because they do not have an ATM and we were not aware our first time coming, don't worry tho, we left a tip on our card. Get cash before you come because cash tips are greatly appreciated here.

I liked it. Two of us ordered burgers and one got fried shrimp. The burger I ordered was great. Not only did they bring us Coca-Cola, they brought us tiny pitchers for a refill. The fries were decent also. I had to use the bathroom. No lie, it was one of the cleanest bathrooms I've seen at a restaurant in a long time.

A really cool hole in the wall place to enjoy burgers! I ordered the moose burger with onion rings all for around 14-15 dollars and those patties were at least half a pound. The food was enjoyable and the owner/bartender was extremely friendly and nice and let us put a dollar bill on the wall. I live in the local area so I will come back for the bar!

As a truck driver from Las Vegas, Nevada, whenever my assignment has me shut down in Phoenix, I would make a point to stop by and have either the French Dip or the Triple Dip chicken wings (depends on what I'm in the mood for), and always the garlic toast with cheese. With it being just a few miles away from the company terminal, I would always unhook the trailer and drive onto the parking lot, always without any problems. I also have to mention that I seemed to have made myself quite recognizable to the staff members by sporting my usual outfit, as they have started to ask if I wanted my usual drink before I even order it. The food, the service, I have nothing but good words to say about this place.

Little gem of a dive bar. I came for lunch. The French dip was pretty good. The fries were perfect. And best of all, they had my favorite beer, Hazy Little Thing, on tap.

I've lived within 2 miles of this place for 17 years. It always looked closed to me! Per a recommendation, we went tonight. We both had a burger and thought the food was delicious. The music was the right level where you could listen and talk without raising your voice. Its small and cozy. We will definitely return.
